Med Spa Membership vs. Paying Per Visit: Is It Worth It?

Med Spa Membership vs. Paying Per Visit: Is It Worth It?

If you've ever looked at a med spa menu, you've probably noticed two ways to pay: book treatments one at a time, or join a monthly membership. Memberships promise big savings, but are they actually worth it? The honest answer is: it depends on how often you'd come in anyway. Here's how to decide.

Why Consistency Matters for Your Skin

Great skin isn't built in one appointment. Your skin renews itself roughly every month, and most results-driven treatments, like facials, IPL, Laser Genesis, chemical peels and skin tightening, work best when they're repeated on a regular schedule. One treatment gives you a nice glow. A consistent routine is what changes your skin over time.

That's the real idea behind a membership: it turns good intentions into a routine you actually stick to.

Paying Per Visit: The Pros and Cons

Paying per visit makes sense if you only want an occasional treatment, like a facial before a big event, or if you're trying a service for the first time.

  • Pros: no commitment, total flexibility, pay only when you book.
  • Cons: full price every time, and it's easy to let months go by between appointments.

A Monthly Membership: The Pros and Cons

A membership makes sense if you already know you want regular treatments and you'd like to pay less for them.

  • Pros: a lower monthly price than booking the same treatments separately, a built-in routine, and member-only perks.
  • Cons: a minimum commitment, so it's best for people who plan to come in regularly.

The Math: Le Spa's Glow Membership

Here's a real example. Our Glow Membership includes, every month:

  • A 60-minute Custom Facial
  • One advanced treatment of your choice: IPL, Laser Genesis, Chemical Peel or Skin Tightening

Booked separately, that's a $699 value each month. As a member, you pay $299/month, a savings of $400 every month, or about $4,800 a year if you stay on. Members also get Botox at a special member rate.

The membership has a 4-month minimum, and after that you can cancel anytime. If life gets busy and you miss a month, you can request a one-month extension.

Not a Facial Person? There Are Other Programs

A membership doesn't have to mean facials. We also offer short monthly programs built around specific goals, including HydraFacial programs, RF microneedling, body tightening and laser hair removal, starting at $99/month. You can compare all of them on our memberships page.

So, Is a Membership Worth It?

A simple rule of thumb: if you'd come in at least once a month anyway, a membership almost always saves you money. If you only visit a few times a year, paying per visit may be the better fit, and that's completely fine.
